Forest Ridge in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma: Golf, Luxury Living and a Connected Community

By Linda Smalley, Tulsa Real Estate Agent, CRS Certified Residential Specialist & ABR Accredited Buyer’s Representative, Chinowth & Cohen Realtors

If you're searching for Broken Arrow real estate that combines beautiful homes, golf, outdoor recreation and a strong sense of community, Forest Ridge deserves a closer look.

Located in southeast Broken Arrow, Forest Ridge is a large, master-planned community built around a resort-style lifestyle. The community encompasses more than 1,000 acres and features neighborhoods with a wide range of home styles, lot sizes and price points. It is also home to The Club at Forest Ridge, an 18-hole golf course and private-club experience.

For buyers who want more than a house, Forest Ridge offers an opportunity to make a home in a community where golf, trails, parks, lakes and social amenities are all part of the neighborhood experience.

Where Is Forest Ridge?

Forest Ridge is located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, with convenient access to the greater Tulsa metropolitan area. Forest Ridge describes the community as approximately 20 minutes from downtown Tulsa.

The community is situated around the Kenosha Street/71st Street corridor and includes numerous individual neighborhoods within the larger Forest Ridge development.

That distinction is important for prospective homebuyers: Forest Ridge isn't one single subdivision. It is a collection of neighborhoods, each with its own characteristics, home styles and settings.

Some neighborhoods are positioned directly along the golf course, while others offer lake, greenbelt, park or wooded views.

Golf-Course Living at Forest Ridge

Golf is one of the defining features of Forest Ridge.

At the heart of the community is The Club at Forest Ridge, which features an 18-hole golf course along with additional recreational and social amenities. The 2026 Tulsa Home Builders Association Parade of Homes guide describes Forest Ridge as a resort-style master-planned community and highlights the club's golf course, resort-style pool, fitness center and indoor/outdoor racquet facilities.

For homeowners, golf-course living can mean waking up to views of manicured fairways, mature trees and open green space rather than neighboring backyards.

However, buyers should understand an important distinction: Forest Ridge HOA dues and club membership are separate. The Forest Ridge homeowners association states that HOA dues support common areas, nature trails, parks and other community maintenance, but do not contribute to The Club at Forest Ridge.

The Club currently offers different membership options, including Full Golf, Sports and Lifestyle memberships.

An Important 2026 Update for Buyers

The Club at Forest Ridge has announced that it will transition to a private, members-only club in November 2026. Prospective buyers who are particularly interested in golf, tennis, pickleball, swimming or other club amenities should ask about current membership requirements, costs and access before purchasing a home based on club amenities.

This is an excellent example of why working with a knowledgeable local real estate professional can be valuable. A home may be located within Forest Ridge, but that does not automatically mean club membership or access to every amenity is included with the property.

Forest Ridge Offers More Than Golf

One of the biggest attractions of Forest Ridge is that you don't have to be a golfer to enjoy the community.

The development includes:

  • Private parks
  • Lakes
  • Approximately 10 miles of trails
  • Walking and biking opportunities
  • Green spaces
  • Neighborhood amenities
  • Social and recreational opportunities
  • Golf and club amenities available through membership

Forest Ridge describes itself as a community designed around nature, recreation and connection.

For families, empty nesters and buyers looking for an active lifestyle, having trails, parks and recreational amenities close to home can be a significant benefit.

A Variety of Forest Ridge Neighborhoods

Another reason Forest Ridge appeals to such a broad range of buyers is the variety of housing options.

The community currently features neighborhoods ranging from villas and family-oriented developments to large custom homes on estate-sized lots. Forest Ridge's official neighborhood information lists new construction options ranging from approximately $430,000 to $3 million, although prices and availability can change.

Artesia

Artesia is a gated neighborhood located on the golf course. The community's first phase includes 21 lots, with homes starting at 4,000-plus square feet according to Forest Ridge's current neighborhood information.

Artesia Estates

For buyers looking for an especially exclusive setting, Artesia Estates features five one-acre estate lots on the golf course. Each lot is individually gated, creating an especially private environment within Forest Ridge.

Creekside

Creekside provides another option within Forest Ridge, including newer construction and a family-friendly setting. Forest Ridge currently identifies move-in-ready homes in the neighborhood.

Stone Bluff

Stone Bluff is known for elevated views of the golf course and represents another luxury-oriented neighborhood within Forest Ridge.

Wyckford

Wyckford offers golf-course and pond views and is another neighborhood within the larger Forest Ridge community.

Because the community contains so many distinct neighborhoods, buyers should compare individual sections rather than assuming every Forest Ridge property offers the same lifestyle or price point.

Schools and the Broken Arrow Lifestyle

Forest Ridge is associated with Broken Arrow Public Schools, and the community's official information lists Broken Arrow High School, Oneta Ridge Middle School, Highland Park Elementary and Timber Ridge Elementary among the public-school options for Forest Ridge residents. School assignments can change, so buyers should verify the current assignment for a specific property with the school district before making a purchase decision.

Beyond the community itself, Broken Arrow offers shopping, restaurants, parks, entertainment and easy access to the larger Tulsa metro.

That combination—suburban space with metropolitan convenience—is one reason Broken Arrow continues to attract homebuyers looking for a balance between lifestyle and accessibility.

What Should You Consider Before Buying in Forest Ridge?

If Forest Ridge is on your list of potential communities, take time to look beyond the home's finishes and square footage.

1. Compare the individual neighborhoods

Forest Ridge contains many different neighborhoods. Lot size, home style, age, amenities and price can vary considerably.

2. Understand HOA costs

HOA dues help maintain Forest Ridge's common areas, trails and parks. Ask for the current HOA information and any neighborhood-specific requirements before making an offer.

3. Separate HOA amenities from club amenities

Golf, fitness, swimming, racquet sports and other club amenities may require separate membership. Don't assume that purchasing a Forest Ridge home automatically includes club access.

4. Consider the location of the home

Golf-course views, lake views, wooded settings and proximity to parks can all affect the appeal and value of individual properties.

5. Look at the long-term lifestyle

Think about how you'll use the community five or ten years from now. A buyer who enjoys golf may prioritize a course-view property, while another buyer may care more about trails, parks, a quieter lot or proximity to schools.

Is Forest Ridge Right for You?

Forest Ridge offers something that can be difficult to find in one Broken Arrow community: a variety of housing options within a master-planned setting built around recreation and community amenities.

For golfers, the proximity to The Club at Forest Ridge is an obvious attraction. For families, the parks, trails, lakes and neighborhood options provide plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. And for buyers seeking a luxury lifestyle, Forest Ridge includes gated neighborhoods, golf-course homes and large estate properties.

Most importantly, buyers should evaluate the specific Forest Ridge neighborhood and property, rather than simply looking at the Forest Ridge name.

That's where local real estate expertise can make a difference.
